Feeding Recommendations

EnerGII can be fed at a wide range of feeding rates and to various groups of cows depending upon the dairy\’s current feeding strategies and performance goals.

High Performer

Goal: Improving milk and reproductive performance, as well as feed efficiency.

Getting Started

High Performer: Feed from .5 to 2 pounds of EnerGII

EnerGII works well to replace more variable fatty acid sources, as well as those high in 18:2 (the main fatty acid that can inhibit milk fat when fed at high levels: distillers grains, cottonseed, roasted soybeans, for example). Many high producing herds feed EnerGII at 1 pound or greater to all groups of lactating cows, with sometimes higher feeding rates in the first half of lactation to make additional energy available for milk and reproduction.

Ultimately, EnerGII provides the most consistent source of fatty acids in your dairy cows\’ diet.  These fatty acids are rumen protected to enhance fatty acid absorption at the small intestine and improve production efficiency.  Please consult your nutritionist for guidance on the feeding rate that works best for your management and current feeding strategy.
