Welcome Great Lakes Region Sales Manager, Scott Simpkins

Scott Simpkins was named Great Lakes Region Sales Manager for Virtus Nutrition, a California based feed ingredient company, specializing in fatty acid nutrition for dairy cows. Virtus Nutrition offers EnerG-3, Strata, Prequel, and EnerGII in their line-up of omega fatty acid products.

“We are very excited to welcome Scott Simpkins to the Virtus team,” explains Doug Waterman, Eastern Technical Sales Manager for Virtus Nutrition. “Scott has a great amount of experience in sales and the dairy industry. He has been successful in building strong customer relationships and providing solutions for dairy operations.  Scott will be an excellent addition to our team and presence in the Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana market.”

Scott Simpkins began his role with Virtus Nutrition in late-October covering the Great Lakes territory of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and parts of Wisconsin. Simpkins, who has been working in the agricultural and dairy nutrition industry for several years, brings a strong educational background with him to Virtus with a B.S. degree from Michigan State University where he studied Animal Science.

“I am excited to be part of an industry-impacting company,” shared Simpkins.  “I want to help producers and nutritionists make a long-term contribution to the livestock, as well as to their business through a healthier, more productive herd, thus improving their bottom-line.”

Previously, Scott has worked in the agriculture and dairy nutrition industry as a sales manager. Along with his strong work background, Simpkins grew up on a registered Hereford seedstock farm and continues to do that with his family today.
